Yes, the Clintons have been attacked relentlessly and visciously, but they aren't completely innocent victims; they brought some of this on themselves through poor judgement, financial ties and lack of transparency. Although Hillary Clinton may have been targeted longer than any other politician, the attacks have been no worse than those on Obama for the last 7-8 years. And I would vote for him again in a heartbeat. Although I may not agree with some of his positions, he is a man of integrity and restrained and considered in his actions, especially in international affairs. Yes, Clinton has vast experience in international affairs, but it is precisely her record that frightens me. Her vote in support of the war in Iraq as not a single error in judgement as she would have us believe, but rather indicative of her belief in the use of military intervention as a primary means of securing the "interests" of the this country, which historically has meant the interests of corporations and the wealthy. Regarding the "political savvy to wage the blood battles with a GOP-controlled Congress," one can reframe that as she is willing to fight only for that which she believes will be acceptable to her opposition, thereby ceding much and allowing the opposition to define the boundaries of the conversation.one could argue she is not a moderate centrist but more of a neoconservative hawk. It is not clear she will "markedly increase taxes on corporations and the wealthy while enforcing and even tightening regulations on the banks and Wall Street." It is true that no president can make radical change alone, but just setting the course of conversation, expanding the vision of what could be, rather than defaulting to what you think may be acceptable to the opposition, should not be underestimated.
