Civil Rights Leader Calls for Ouster of Compton School Board Member

Inflammatory and Degrading Outburst against Trayvon Martin and Others Cited

Will Publicly Call for Fisher Recall on KTLK Radio Show Friday, May 4 at 3:00 PM

Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable President Earl Ofari Hutchinson on Thursday, May 3 called on Compton voters and school officials to launch a recall campaign to oust Compton school Board Member Skyy Fisher. Fisher used outrageous insulting, degrading and offensive gutter language to describe Trayvon Martin, school officials, and community members. Fisher violated every code of educational ethics, civility and professional standards in using this language. Fisher has refused calls for his resignation. Compton school officials and voters now should take the next step and immediately launch a recall campaign to remove him.

“Fisher’s profane outburst makes him an unfit and polarizing model for students and teachers and administrators in Compton or any other school district, “says Hutchinson, “The Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable will aid and assist the recall effort and will publicly call for his recall on the Hutchinson Report Friday on KTLK radio at 3:00 PM.”
